Innovative digital platform will allow the insurer to expand its product portfolio online and reach new customers faster and easier

Sofia, September 3rd, 2019 – Generali Insurance AD signed an agreement to start a digital transformation project in partnership with Software Group.

The company will implement an innovative digital insurance platform to optimize its online insurance sales channels and policy management processes. The initiative will support the insurer’s development strategy ‘GENERALI 2021’ in the upcoming years.

The project is to be completed by the end of 2020. It includes the implementation of an online portal that will help optimize the policy issuance process, as well as enable customers to manage their existing insurance portfolios. The self-service capabilities will allow Generali’s customers to save time and enjoy greater convenience. Another part of the project will be a unified portal for employees and distributors of GENERALI, offering the product portfolio of the insurer.

Dancho Danchev, CEO of Generali Insurance AD, said:
“Our mission is to enable people to shape a safer future, by taking care of their lives and dreams. We aim to be a reliable life-time partner to our customers! This inspires us, motivates us and give us the reason to exist as a company. We have always been led by the intention to improve the lives of people in our society. In our complex world, our ability to care and help, by offering more innovative and intuitive services, will provide our customers with the opportunity to be more informed, take the right decisions and build a safer future for themselves, their relatives and business. We are happy that our partner in this initiative is Software Group - a leading global provider of innovative technology solutions.”

Kalin Radev, CEO of Software Group, commented:
“Customer needs and expectations are becoming more complex, and purchasing decisions are led mainly by two factors – time and convenience. This makes insurance companies realize the need to develop personalized products and services and offer them more effectively through digital channels and broker networks. We are delighted to partner with GENERALI in this direction and help one of the leading companies in their mission to offer accessible insurance solutions, enhancing the lives of people not only in Bulgaria but also globally.”
