Going “integrated” with Timor-Leste’s largest bank

8 Jul, 2016

Banco Nacional de Comércio de Timor-Leste (BNCTL), the largest bank in the Republic of Timor-Leste, has teamed up with Software Group to implement a new integrated delivery channel platform. BNCTL’s aim with the project was simple: to provide maximum convenience for customers, and optimal efficiency for the institution.

When complete, BNCTL will be able to provide out-of-branch 24-hour self-service transactions. BNCTL chose Software Group as their preferred technology provider, based on their solid track record, both regionally and globally.

Software Group will implement the following solutions in line with BNCTL’s requirements: ATM Services and Card Management, USSD Mobile Banking, Alerts & Notifications, Personal Banking, Web Front End for Teller, Digital Field Application and Agency Banking.

About Banco Nacional de Comércio de Timor-Leste

BNCTL was transformed in July 2011 from the Institute of Microfinance of Timor-Leste (IMfTL), which was established in 2001. BNCTL is the largest bank in Timor-Leste, both in terms of branch outreach and number of clients. As the only bank solely owned by the state, BNCTL serves as the government’s official bank for civil servants’ salaries, social and pension benefits. Currently, BNCTL operates a network of fourteen branches and employs over 250 people.
