Software Group’s Georgi Yanchev awarded CFO of the year

This award presented to Yanchev in the ‘Small and Medium Enterprises’ category recognized his significant contribution towards the development and transformation of Software Group.
As the company’s first CFO, Yanchev has not only organized and structured the finance department, but has also contributed to the execution of the overall company mission and strategy. He played a key role in transforming the global company structure, identifying new revenue streams as well as raising multiple rounds of equity and debt capital.
In 2019 Yanchev completed an 18 million Euro venture debt deal with the European Investment Bank, making Software Group the first Bulgarian company approved for this type of funding, backed by the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), a key component of the Investment Plan for Europe (the Juncker Plan).
Yanchev has over 12 years of senior management experience in finance, business consulting, M&A, investment management, financial control, and audit. He has vast exposure in various industries including IT development, the financial industry, consulting, energy, manufacturing and holding companies.
